The MushLume Lighting In Stillness collection embodies these qualities that nature effortlessly provides, creating an environment that stifles loudness using the natural sound dampening characteristics of mycelium, while providing illumination and inspiration born from biophilic forms.
The In Stillness collection is made up of four unique designs that range in application from ceiling to wall fixtures. Although different in form, each design exhibits a modular nature so that the elements can be configured and layered in a space to increase acoustic performance and have the option to be illuminated with light or left unlit. Each light fixture and acoustic element is grown from mycelium, the roots of mushrooms and hemp, thus providing a completely sustainable option in acoustic lighting. It is In Stillness that function meets art.
Disc Sconce & Pendant
Named for its shape, the MushLume Disc Sconce may be simple in form, but its playful texture curiously captures one’s attention with a delicate dance of light projecting across inherently soft biomaterials. Made of carbon-sequestering hemp and mycelium–the roots of mushrooms–these sustainable light fixtures do more than just illuminate, they provide sound dampening performance, naturally!

Coral Sconce
Modeled after the endangered Honeycomb Coral, the MushLume Coral Sconces capture the elegant genius of nature, creating optimal form from function. Designed to be hung on the wall in a colony, the sconce sizes and colors can be mixed and matched to create an art composition that absorbs sound while illuminating space.

Terrace Pendant
Worshiped throughout history, the Sun is the ultimate giver of life. Without it, life on our planet wouldn’t exist. The rays of energy that emit from this star burning over 93 million miles away, reach Earth in the form of light and heat, warming our planet and allowing for photosynthesis. The Ray Sconce honors the Sun with its visual representation of the rays of light projecting from source. The symmetrical cutouts allow light to pass through the lampshade grown from mycelium and hemp and project onto the wall surface behind, creating a dramatic glowing array of light.
Stones Sconces
Skipping stones on a calm lake invites movement to disrupt stillness, both needing each other in order to create pattern in form and sound. The MushLume Stones Sconces are shaped after that perfect skipping stone one would find on a lakeshore or riverbed, beckoning you hold it and to return it back to the water with as many hops as possible. Designed to be both lit and unlit, layered on the wall at various heights or scattered to create unique patterns.
