Our most popular fixture, the MushLume Hemi Pendant, features a 18” diameter dome handcrafted from carbon-sequestering hemp and living mushroom mycelium. Perfect for eco-conscious spaces, this sustainable hanging lamp offers a nature-inspired design that creates a lasting impression.

  • Included: hardwired pendant lighting assembly, 5” dia ceiling canopy and 6ft cloth cord (longer lengths available)

  • Light bulbs: for use with LED bulbs only. Compatible with all e26 medium base LED bulbs (60W equivalent). Recommended Tala LED bulbs available as an add-on. Scroll down for more information

  • Lampshade color: option to add a non-toxic, mineral-based paint color to the exterior of the shades. Scroll down for color options or visit our Color page to view select lighting in our new color palette

  • Primary substrate: Hemp hurd (industrial hemp) — approx. 75% of shade mass

  • Binder: Proprietary mycelium strain, grown in-studio — approx. 25% of shade mass

  • Free of: Formaldehyde, VOCs, halogenated flame retardants, plasticizers, PFAS, isocyanates

  • End of life: Fully biodegradable, rated home compostable

  • Carbon impact: Hemp substrate sequesters carbon into the soil before fabrication

 

Care Instructions

  • Dust gently with a soft brush or duster

  • Do not use liquids or cleaning sprays on the shade

  • Keep in dry, climate-controlled indoor environments

  • For kitchen or bathroom use, choose a painted finish to protect against moisture and grease

  • Natural mycelium shades will gradually take on a warmer, golden patina over time — this is expected and not a defect

 

Product FAQs

  • Yes. It's UL Listed and tested to ASTM E84 Class A fire performance, with no off-gassing or VOCs.

  • Any E26 medium-base LED, 60W equivalent. We recommend Tala LED bulbs, available as an add-on at checkout.

  • Yes. Custom cord lengths and four hardware finishes are available. Contact us for cord color customization. info@mushlumelighting.com

  • The natural mycelium finish will age to a warmer golden tone. Painted finishes maintain consistent color.

  • Yes, when used with a dimmable LED bulb. Dimmers are not included.
