Each fixture is formed through a low-energy biofabrication process using mycelium—the root structure of mushrooms—which naturally binds carbon-sequestering hemp fibers into a solid form. This approach minimizes waste, water and energy usage and rethinks how materials can be created for the built environment. The lampshade is fully biodegradable at the end of its life.
